MACA SNICKERS BARS

METHOD

STEP 1:

In a bowl, add in the flours, salt, almond butter, coconut oil, and honey, and mix well. Press into a parchment paper-lined tray, smooth out with a spoon, and freeze or bake for 8-10 minutes for a crunchier texture. 

 

STEP 2:

Blend the soaked, drained dates with the nut butter and salt until smooth.

 

STEP 3:

Scoop onto the snicker base, smooth out, and top with the roasted, chopped peanuts. Freeze again until set. Slice into bars.

 

STEP 4:

Melt the chocolate, add 1-2 tsp SFS maca powder, and mix well. 

 

STEP 5:

Pour the chocolate onto each Snickers bar, add more peanuts on top, and enjoy! 

 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 C oat flour
  • ½ C almond or coconut flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • ⅓ C almond butter ¼ C coconut oil
  • ¼ C honey or date syrup 

 

DATE CARAMEL 

  • 2 cups brown dates, soaked until soft 
  • ⅓ C nut butter
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1-2 cups roasted peanuts
  • Melted dark chocolate 
  • 1-2 tsp Maca powder
