Greenpop Reforest Fest

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our packaging, product choices, and sourcing. Since 2019, we’ve been proud supporters of Greenpop, a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring ecosystems and uplifting communities through reforestation and environmental education. This year, we once again contributed to their annual Reforest Fest— where over 5,000 trees were planted as part of the Uilenkraal Forest Restoration Project.

Protect the West Coast

We are excited to partner with Protect the West Coast as our sustainability partner. Their mission to restore respect for people, the planet and find better and more sustainable ways of living more in harmony with nature.

Lawful and unlawful mining activity covers an astounding portion of the west coast of South Africa and Protect The West Coast has a deeply rooted commitment to protecting the coastline from unlawful and destructive mining. They encourage us to build deep personal connections to its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. Their vision is of a future that replaces degraded, lifeless and desolate mine dumps with cross-functional economic activity in unison with nature and her people.

They have overseen a small, but crucial, glimmer of hope in recent years: several court rulings favour their vision. There is mounting global pressure on leaders to adopt a forward thinking approach to how they manage resources and develop their country and their corporations.

Supporting events and initiatives like these reminds us that change happens both through individual choice and collective action. By supporting Soaring Free, you’re part of this impact too.
