METHOD
STEP 1:
To make the hemp cream, blend all the ingredients together.
STEP 2:
Cook the pasta according to package instructions and save a cup of pasta water.
STEP 3:
Heat olive oil, add onions, sauté until translucent, add garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Reduce to very low heat, add the hemp cream, stirring continuously.
STEP 4:
In a small bowl, mix together 3 tbsp of water with 1 tbsp of Master Greens.
STEP 5:
Remove from pan from the heat and add the master greens mixture. Stir gently to combine well and slowly add the cup of pasta water to loosen the sauce, a little bit of liquid at a time.
STEP 6:
Add the pasta and enjoy warm with garnishes of garlic chive flowers, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a crack of black pepper.
INGREDIENTS
Hemp cream:
- 1 C hemp seeds (can also do ½ C hemp and ½ C sunflower)
- 1 C water
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
- Pasta of choice (save 1 cup pasta water)
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp Master Greens Powder
- Pink Himalayan salt
- Black pepper
- Good quality olive oil for cooking
To serve:
- Garlic chive flowers or fresh herbs (optional)
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Black pepper
