Location: South Africa, preference will be given to candidates residing in Western Cape, however candidates in Gauteng may also be considered.

Job Description

Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer / head of Marketing
Role Overview
We seek a highly organised, technical and proactive Jnr Marketing Manager to support our demand generation marketing initiatives. This role will be responsible for the technical execution of marketing plans, campaign management, and ensuring campaigns meet performance metrics. Assist in content creation, copywriting, campaign execution & tracking, manage marketing team operations and implementation of overall marketing strategy as guided by the CMO to support brand expansion.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, a copywriting content creating machine, tactical champion, punctual, timely, creative, intuitive, a team player, loves the health and wellness space and is eager to contribute to a small but dynamic marketing team.
Day-to-day:
You will manage a small marketing team, plan marketing campaigns with the guidance of the CMO, then coordinate and execute the planned campaigns, analyse the results, report back to the CMO and optimise performance according to identified metrics. You take strategic direction from the CMO and work closely with the marketing team to execute the marketing vision.
You will execute the marketing plans, manage the individual campaigns, and ensure their successful implementation.
You will manage a small team, oversee specific marketing channels, and create content for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
When it comes to strategic involvement, you work closely under the direction of senior managers, contributing to the tactical execution of broader marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Marketing Content Calendars: Create, execute and manage the content calendars for paid and organic channels
- Content Creation & Execution For All Marketing Channels: Manage the creation and execution of content for email marketing, social media & paid media. This includes writing design briefs for content creation, copywriting and managing content creation with the Community & Content coordinator.
- Campaign Management: Execute, monitor, and optimise performance of organic and paid campaigns across all marketing channels (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Pinterest, TikTok, Meta, Google, Bing, Amazon).
- Shopify Support: Create and implement a content marketing strategy that is SEO orientated to improve website visibility and authority. Build out and execute and maintain SEO strategy. Optimise website content for maximum readership. Create ad campaign landing pages that drive revenue conversion. Monitor & report on website performance metrics and execute strategies to optimise website performance.
- Influencer & Event Coordination: Assist with influencer outreach campaigns, product scheduling, content acquisition and other logistics. Work alongside Content & Community coordinator to acquire content for the planned content calendar. Monitor the quality of content delivered and ensure the Content & Community Coordinator organises and distributes content to all stakeholders.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor marketing campaigns and track performance metrics, providing performance insights and reports to CMO.
- General Marketing Support: Maintenance of brand assets (ensure all brand assets are up to date, liaise with team and deliver on cross-functional content needs ( update product packaging, create sales marketing tools )
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications.
- 1-2 years of agency experience or 2-3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
- Experience managing/coordinating a cross-functional team.
- Strong writing skills for content creation and copywriting.
- Experience with Shopify, Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest), Advertising platforms (Meta, Google, Bing), Email Marketing tools (Mailchimp & Klaviyo) and project management software (Asana/Monday, Slack).
- Good knowledge of Analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Ads, etc.).
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team.
