PREPARATION TIME
Start the day before you need them
INGREDIENTS
For the bars:
- 3 C oats
- 1 C Mesquite Powder
- 1 C Lucuma Powder
- 1 C raisins
- 1/2 C Cacao Nibs
- 1/2 C Chia Seeds, ground
- 1/4 C Maca Powder
- 1 T vanilla powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 2 C dates
- 2 C water
- 1/2 C Cacao Powder
CHOCOLATE SAUCE DIP
- 1/2 C Cacao Paste
- 1/4 C Cacao Butter
- 1/4 C coconut oil
- 1/4 C Coconut Blossom Nectar
METHOD
STEP 1:
Soak the dates in the water until soft.
STEP 2:
Blend the dates and the soak water into a date jam, adding the Cacao Powder to make it a chocolate date jam.
STEP 3:
In a food processor, pulse the oats till roughly chopped and then add the remaining ingredients and pulse.
STEP 4:
Place dry ingredients in a bowl and add the date jam. Work it through into a doughy consistency.
STEP 5:
Spread out onto a solid sheet and dry in a dehydrator for 12 hours.
STEP 6:
Make the chocolate sauce – in a pot suspended over hot water melt the Cacao Paste, Cacao Butter and coconut oil together and stir in Coconut Blossom Nectar or sweetener of your choice.
STEP 7:
Cut into bar shapes and dip into chocolate sauce. Allow the chocolate to set in the fridge.
