Organic Açaí Berry
Powerful antioxidant + Immune support + Skin health
Açaí (pronounced ah-sigh-EE) is native to the rainforests in South America. Known as nature’s purple gold, the anthocyanins give açaí its deep purple colour and are said to act as powerful antioxidants to potentially reduce free radical damage. Açaí is known to be rich in vitamin E and Omegas which are said to promote good skin health. It is also low in naturally occurring sugars.
Freeze-dried and free from any add-ins so that all the nutrition remains potent and intact.
Good to know: Most açaí products are pasteurised (heated) which diminishes the potency. There are also no added sweeteners which can often be added to acai products in the form of maltodextrin to improve the unusual berry taste.
Health benefits of acai are said to be:

Natural Skin Food - high in vitamin E
Athletic Recovery Support - polyphenol content reduces muscle damage

Cardiovascular Support - heart-supportive anthocyanins, fibre & healthy fats

Product of Brazil
Although it is a berry, its taste is more savoury, similar to that of sumac. We’d say it has a more ‘tangy spice’ flavour reminiscent of lemon rind. This potent plant berry can be used medicinally, and may have culinary uses to brighten up dry rubs, spice blends like za’atar, and dressings.
