Spirulina Pesto

A versatile, lip-smacking sauce, pesto is one to always have on hand. Spirulina adds a salty flavour to this recipe packed with extra greens. Excellent on seed crackers and chopped veggies!

Ingredients

½ C fresh cilantro
1 C baby spinach
⅓ C raw almonds
⅓ C pumpkin seeds
¼ C Hemp Seeds
1 heaped tbsp Spirulina Powder
juice of half a lemon
½ C olive oil
salt & pepper to taste

Recommended platter foods:
tomatoes
grapes
carrot sticks
cucumber slices
nachos
lentil chips
edible flowers
almonds
pumpkin seeds

Method

Step 1:

Add all the pesto ingredients in to a high speed blender and blend until smooth

Step 2:

Wash and slice the fruit and vegetables, decorate your platter with chips and nuts and centre the pesto around the grazing goodies

NOTE:

cilantro can be replaced with fresh basil and spinach can be replaced with kale
